The Heatmiser TA230 actuator is a 2 wire thermal actuator used to regulate temperature in heating systems. It is a vital element of your underfloor heating system opening and closing ports on the manifold. The actuator is operated by the signal sent by your wet underfloor heating thermostat or wiring centre. Actuators can increase energy efficiency by controlling each loop independently reducing energy costs.

Installation
Below are the steps to connect your Heatmiser 2 Wire Thermal Actuator to a VPS manifold.

• The Heatmiser TA230 is fitted on the return section of the manifold. Attached above each return port for individual control.
• Remove the blue flow cap and expose the actuator valve.
• The actuator comes with a threaded ring nut attached to the bottom. The ring nut is secured onto the valve thread first.
• The actuator is screwed onto the ring nut.
• Connect the wiring from the Heatmiser actuator to the appropriate control source. The connection from the thermostat or wiring centre powers the unit.
• After completing the installation. Perform a system test to ensure the actuator responds correctly to control signals. If the valve is open the orange inner will rise out of the actuator. When the valve is closed the orange will not be visible.
