Controlling Underfloor Heating and Radiators – The Salus Quantum does it all
The Salus Quantum Thermostat is capable of controlling the heating within your home with the Salus Smart Home app from just about anywhere via your laptop, smartphone or tablet.
The Salus Quantum Thermostat is 230V mains powered and LI-ION rechargeable battery powered radio Frequency (RF) for both the Underfloor Heating and boiler markets.
Salus of course have ensured that the Quantum can control both central heating and UFH heating systems with both thriftiness and ecology in mind. However, Salus has gone one better this time and designed the thermostat with an internal rechargeable battery.
The Salus Quantum Thermostat
The Salus Quantum can not only act as a thermostat for the Salus Smart Home system as well communicating wirelessly with other system components:
- Underfloor Heating:
Connect the controller to the central strip and control the underfloor heating in your home. In addition, the “COMFORTABLE FLOOR” function will give you the luxury of a warm floor at all times.
Therefore you will have complete control of your UFH system in your home even if you are not there. The Salus Smart Home app allows you to connect to the internet and with an equivalent app on your iPhone or Android device, you can turn your heating on before heading home from work or even when returning from holiday.
Additionally, solar gain issues have been overcome with the warm floor feature. Floor temperature can reduce with long periods of solar gain through glass and can cause the floor temperature to reduce. The new Quantum ensures the floor stays warm during these periods.
- Radiators:
With the addition of the Salus TRV Radiator heads – the Salus Quantum Thermostat will allow you to manage any rooms that are still fitted with traditional forms of heating in the form of radiators.
- Boiler control:
Take control of your boiler – with Wired, Wireless or remotely via the internet
- Electric heating:
Just add the SR600 and the Salus Quantum will do the rest and give you full control of your Electric Underfloor Heating.
The SALUS Quantum SQ Version, features a humidity sensor, operates with underfloor heating, smart radiator systems and is fully compatible with SALUS Smart Home and Amazon Alexa.
The S1 and S2 terminals are designated to provide additional possibilities to connect with, including three sensors, an External Air Sensor Probe, External Floor Sensor Probe and an Occupancy Sensor, which means the thermostat will enter a sleep state until it detects someone entering the room.
In addition it has the possibility to connect with two switches, a light switch, a dedicated switch that might be programmed to trigger certain automation rules, scenarios, customised SMS alerts or e-mail messages and a changeover switch, a simple way to switch between heating and cooling mode.
